GISSA SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS

CHAMPIONSHIP ADMINISTATION AND RULES

• Due to 6 teams entered in this competition, we have adopted Two ‘Pools’ and will use a round-robin tournament in each Pool to decide which teams qualify for the ‘Play-off’ Finals. *Refer to Draw below.
• Preliminary Round matches will be played as:
  • Pool A matches: 2x20minute halves with 5min half-time break.
• Presentations will occur at 2:10pm
• Offside rule will be enforced
• Match balls provided by team named first
• Referees provided – Each school to supply a line judge
• Trophy presented to the winning school
• Medallion and Hat provided for best player from each team
• First Aid provided
• Deciding which teams play in the Finals, we will be using the following scoring system –

Official Scoring system for the Tournament:

4 points = a win 2 points = a draw 0 points = a loss

NB: If two schools are tied using the above scoring system then goals ‘for’ and ‘against’ will be used to decide

placings for Finals.
