WHO IS GISSA?

GISSA is a company established to manage and promote the Inter-School Sport Programs of independent schools in the Geelong region. The number of schools affiliated with our organisation has grown to 10, with the following Schools all participating in our GISSA Sporting Programs in one form or another:

Facilitate competitions using appropriate facilities, qualified officials, and support staff to maintain a safe, well-managed, and professional sporting environment.

Promote opportunities that support individual talent, leadership, teamwork, inclusivity, and ethical behaviour among all participating students.

Maintain Financial Sustainability
Ensure the efficient and responsible administration of programs to deliver financially sustainable sporting opportunities for member schools.

Collaborate with other school sporting associations to strengthen relationships and expand pathways for student participation and progression in sport.

GISSA has a massive network of people connected to our organisation. And, when you factor in the families attached to each of those students and staff, our reach across Geelong has unlimited potential.

That’s approximately how much physical activity we produce for students every year across our numerous Programs, which includes afternoon competitions every Wednesday and Championship Carnival Days all year round for our most popular Sports.

20 DIFFERENT SPORTS

We are all about inclusivity at GISSA, that’s why we provide a choice for every student, for all abilities. And there are even plans to provide non-sporting options in the future – such as Robotics, Debating, Music, Chess and more!
