Star-packed Kardinia Team win first Pennant for 2025
They were the hot favourites coming into the Event… and they didn’t disappoint!
Kardinia International College are the new Division One Tennis Champions for GISSA after their star-packed line-up claimed the first GISSA Team ‘Pennant’ for 2025.
Featuring a squad made up of many students currently in the Barwon Sports Academy Tennis Program, Kardinia were always going to be tough to beat – and so it proved on a magnificent day at Geelong Lawn Tennis Club.
Not only did they win all three of their matches, Kardinia only dropped four sets in total on route to the commanding victories over Christian College Geelong, St. Ignatius College and Iona College.
The victory was significant for another reason, with this Event being the first time GISSA has awarded a ‘Pennant’ to the winning Team, following our organisation’s move away from the traditional trophies of previous years.
