Major Titles

GISSA stages three ‘Major Titles’ every year – Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming.

In contrast to the standard single sport ‘Championship’ Events, these ‘Big 3’ Major Titles involve both an ‘Individual’ and ‘Team’ aspect, and are open to students from Year 7 to Year 12.

Member Schools compete for Age Level ‘Pennants’, broken down into four different Divisions – ‘JUNIOR MALE’ and ‘JUNIOR FEMALE’ Titles, which involve students from Year 7 to Year 9, and also the ‘SENIOR MALE’ and ‘SENIOR FEMALE’ Titles, which involve students from Year 10 to Year 12.

In addition to these Divisions, there is also an ‘OVERALL CHAMPIONS’ Pennant, which involve results from all age levels.
