2025 MAJOR TITLE - SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

That’s a wrap from Kardinia Aquatic Centre.

What a day it was for our first Major Title for 2025!

Congratulations to every student who jumped in the pool in what was perfect weather for the event, putting on a fantastic display of under-age swimming.

There were a number of thrilling races for spectators to enjoy, and some lightning quick times recorded (no doubt some new ‘PBs for many students!)

It is going to be a strong Team that GISSA selects for the upcoming Swimming Victoria Schools Association Event in Term 2.

There will be quite a few students from Kardinia International College and Geelong College in that representative Team, after those two Schools swept the Pennants and many of the ribbons for individual races that were on offer at this year’s first GISSA Major Title.

The red, white and blue swimming machine from Kardinia claimed 5 of the 7 Titles on offer – including the Overall Champions Title – to continue their recent dominance at these Championships.

However Geelong College showed they were bridging the gap and that there are exciting signs for the future by winning the Junior Male Division Pennant.

Geelong Lutheran College claimed the ‘Points Trophy’, which is contested by our Member Schools with lower student numbers.
